JUNE HOME SALES MARK FIFTH STRAIGHT MONTH OF
INCREASED SALES IN 2009

Below is a time frame comparison for Oakland County: comparing data from June 2008 to June of 2009.

The number of homes sold in June of 2009 was 1,480 compared to 1183 in 2008 up 25.1%. Of the 1,480 sales 780 were foreclosures and 700 were non-foreclosure sales.

The number of homes on the market in June 2009 was 14,802 compared to 19,203 in 2008 down 22.9%.

The median sales price for a foreclosure home In June was $55,000 and a non-foreclosure was $154,000. The median sale price for all sales in June 2009 was $97,750 compared to $150,000 in 2008. That is down 34.8%.

Number of homes on the market is down 22.9%
Average home price is down 34.8%
